A Thief River Falls Tradition.
When I was a young girl the Evergreen was a small outdoor summer dining hot spot. We, as customers, would drive our vehicle under a canopy and a "car hop" would take our order for hamburgers, chili dogs, fries, frosty's etc. Everyone enjoyed gathering at the "Dine-A-Mite" Drive-In.
In the early 70's a couple by the name of Lon and Joyce Govel purchased the Dine-A-Mite and transformed this drive-in into a formal fine dining restaurant. "Lon's Supper Club" with it's english tutor design brought in people from all over the world and entertained them with a fine dining cuisine.
In 1993 Lon's became the Evergreen Eating Emporium. The Evergreen continues to provide a dining experience to guests from all over the world that are visiting our Northwestern Minnesota community
